Sift Clips Now Searches Frame.io Footage

Frame.io search has now been added to Sift Clips. This new feature lets editors search their Frame.io projects alongside footage on their drives by describing a shot or searching for something someone said. The idea is pretty simple: less digging around for footage, more editing.

Sift Clips is a desktop app for Mac and Windows that searches all of an editor's footage at once: every drive, including archive drives that aren't plugged in, Frame.io projects, and cloud folders synced to the computer. Editors find any moment by what's on screen (Visual), what's said (Spoken) and who's in it (People).

Sift keeps its own index on the editor's computer, so footage is never uploaded to be searched and unplugged drives stay searchable. It works on its own and inside Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro, and connects to the Claude and ChatGPT desktop apps.

Sift Clips Spoken Search

Sift Clips searches every drive (even unplugged ones), Frame.io projects, and folders synced by Google Drive for desktop or Dropbox (the sync app must be running; online-only files download once while Sift indexes them). It also selects and privately reviews links, and finds similar shots and named people.
