Former Our Perfect Wedding TV presenter and actress Nomsa Buthelezi has bagged a new TV show Mama vs Makoti, a new show coming to Honey TV.

BACKGROUND OF MAMA VS MAKOTI' TV SHOW The former The Queen actress Nomsa Buthelezi-Shezi, who's known as Our Perfect Wedding presenter is the host of the show Mama vs Makoti.
According to Drum Magazine, viewers will see men choosing who cooks their favourite meal best, his mama or his makoti.

Mothers know their sons. They have built solid relationships over the years, and they know just how their sons love their food. But on the other hand, the wives say yes, you're his mama but I'm his wife' and it's all just great family fun. The man gets the plate and chooses the winner, without knowing who cooked it, says Buthelezi.
She also tells the publication that she was sad when she left Our Perfect Wedding as she thought it would be the end of the road for her with a show related to love, but uNkulunkulu had other plans , she says.
I will forever hold OPW close to my heart. That show teaches you how to be humble. It's not about glitz and glam. Sometimes you get there, and the bride is in tears.
You cannot then think it's about you just showing up and presenting. You must speak to people on a human and personal level, without any celebrity status attached.

NOMSA BUTHELEZI: VIRAL OUR PERFECT WEDDING' CLIP The publication adds that one of Nomsa Buthelezi's highlights on Our Perfect wedding was when she asked the bride and her entourage if they hadn't forgotten to put on make-up.
The actress now opens up about the famous clip that is now being used on TikTok.
It was really a genuine question and, on that episode, I learned a lot about their faith. I found out things like them not wearing rings because they do not want things from Sodom and Gomorrah. So that show will always be special to me.
Working on OPW taught Nomsa to plan well, which came in handy when she was planning her wedding with her sweetheart, Zandile. The lovebirds got married in 2019.
I learned from OPW that you need to book, buy and pay for things on time. And use service providers that you know you can trust.
Sometimes you get there and izinto azihlangani (things are not coming together) and you cannot just stand on the sideline and watch. I have even contributed from my own pocket to help the couple get towards their dream wedding. I love, love and that show represented all that we are as humanity. Because there will always be something that goes wrong at a wedding, but as long as you two, the couple, are committed to each and you fix the focus on each other, then that is all that matters.
