nablet, a leading provider of media processing technologies, announced today that it has licensed its H.264 codec to Foundry, the leading developer of creative software for the digital design, media and entertainment industries. nablet codecs are designed for optimized quality and performance on multi-core systems.

For example, the H.264 codec offers industry-leading quality and performance with approximately 20 percent faster long GOP encoding, or up to 30 percent less CPU usage for the same profiles than competing solutions.

Nuke 12.2 introduces a new consolidated MOV Read and Writer to the Nuke family, including more performant H.264 encoding across all operating systems thanks to the nablet codec.
