We're delighted to celebrate EE TV's success at the 2026 CSI Awards, picking up two prestigious awards for innovations developed in collaboration with YouView - bringing together Product, Design and Technology expertise to solve some of the biggest challenges facing TV audiences today.

The awards recognised two capabilities available on the EE TV app on Apple TV 4K:

Smart Search with Mood Matcher The way we watch television has changed dramatically. Audiences today have access to thousands of hours of content across live TV, broadcaster streaming services and subscription platforms.

While viewers have more choice than ever, finding something to watch has become increasingly difficult.

Smart Search was created to address this challenge. Rather than relying on traditional title-based searches, it enables viewers to express what theyre looking for in more natural ways, helping surface relevant content from across the channels and services available through EE TV.

The CSI Award for Best Implementation of AI or GenAI in Media recognises the opportunity for AI to make content discovery more intuitive, helping viewers spend less time searching and more time watching.

Create Multiple WatchlistsAs content becomes distributed across multiple channels and apps, it can be difficult for viewers to remember where they discovered something they wanted to watch.

Watchlists provides a simple way for viewers to save content from across different services and return to it later from a single place. By bringing content together in a unified experience, the feature helps reduce the friction that can exist between discovery and viewing.

It's recognition as Best TV User Experience demonstrates the value of designing experiences that feel simple and effortless, even as the underlying content ecosystem becomes more complex.
