Sony honoured with 6 iF Design Awards including ree gold awards

Today Sony is proud to announce 26 iF Awards including triple gold awards from the prestigious international iF Design Awards. These three gold awards are a testimony to Sony's excellence in various areas, from capturing memories with your camera, to creating content on your laptop and enjoying watching the photos and films in 4 times the detail of HD with 4K TV in your living room.

iF Gold Awards 2014

BRAVIA X9000A Series | 4K LED HD TV

In this case, we are dealing with a perfect formal reduction of the product type: flat-screen TV. It is aesthetically strong, on the one hand, with its generous format and integrated speakers, yet nonetheless reserved. There are hardly any noticeable details when it is turned off, once switched on, however, it unfolds its overall effect. Every edge, every surface, is perfectly designed and manufactured.

DSC-RX10 | Digital Still Camera

The Sony Digital RX10 is the congenial translation of the classical single lens reflex camera form into the year 2014. The casing is unbelievably smooth, and the handling of the camera is virtually self-explanatory. Useless functions are not to be found. The product convinces with strict, strong shapes and an extremely clean design in every detail.

About iF Design Awards

Since their introduction in the year 1953, the International Forum (iF) design awards have been a reliable indicator of outstanding quality in design. The iF logo, awarded by international experts, is trusted the world over and denotes proven design quality. Participants from 55 different nations competed for an iF product design award 2014, submitting a total of 4,615 entries for adjudication by an international panel of experts. 1,626 products merited an iF product design award 2014, with 75 of them also selected to receive an iF gold award.
