RT Supports the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2013 9 January 2013: Bryan Dobson and RT Weathers Helen Curran were among the first to get a sneak-peek today at RT s exhibition stand at the 2013 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition.
RT is supporting the event with a packed schedule of live broadcasts, events and activities across all RT platforms. Young people from across the country will converge on the RT Exhibition Stand in the RDS Dublin from tomorrow, Thursday, through to Saturday.
RT Two will broadcast TwoTube live from the event on Thursday and Friday. Visitors to the RT Stand will get the chance to meet their favourite presenters and see them in action.
RT 2fm's Tubridy will report on the buzz of opening day, while Rick O'Shea's Rick in the Afternoon will broadcast live from the RT Stand on Thursday and Friday; Weekenders with Paddy and Ruth has it covered on Saturday afternoon.
RT One's Today programme will report live from the RT Exhibition Hall on Thursday and Nationwide will air a special BT Young Scientist report on its Friday programme.
RT 's Education & Science Correspondent Emma O'Kelly will be on the ground for RT News; RT News Now, RT 's digital news service, will broadcast news updates throughout the day.
The RT weather team will present RT 's lunchtime weather bulletin, on each day of the event, live on RT One television.
RT Digital will display some of the many on-line and mobile services RT provides on multiple connected devices, including RT Player, RT Radio Player and RT News Now. RT 's multimedia team will have roving reporters interviewing exhibitors about their entries for the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition, who will then appear on RT 's YouTube Channel as well as on the Digital wall at the RT Exhibition Stand.
RT Radio 1 will keep listeners updated throughout the day with reports on Morning Ireland and Today with Pat Kenny right through to Drivetime.
RT Pulse, RT Radio's dedicated digital dance music station, will be broadcasting its new breakfast show, Mo-K in the Morning, live from the RT Stand on Thursday and Friday morning.
RT lyric fm will be running its ever-popular Lyric Outreach education programme on Thursday morning between 9.30am 11am. Participants will be invited to try out their presenting skills by introducing their very own radio programme.
Other highlights for visitors to the RT Stand during the week include the chance get some hands-on experience presenting a weather bulletin at a purpose-built studio at the RT Exhibition Stand.
