To say it's been an eventful six months for Grass Valley (C2308), would be an understatement. Since IBC 2023 the company has completed a strategic refinancing initiative of $220 million with Morgan Stanley; continued its worldwide recruitment drive with hundreds of new hires (and more on the way); seen a rise in the adoption of its AMPP SaaS platform by leading media operators such as NVP Italy, the Global Leadership Summit (GLS), and the G20 Summit in India; and grown its network of GV Alliance Members to more than 90 partners. Add that to a cavalcade of new innovations and enhanced products on the showfloor, and NAB 2024 is proving to be one of the biggest shows in recent memory for Grass Valley.

SVG took some time with Executive Chairman/CEO Louis Hernandez and Chief Revenue Officer Tim Banks at the GV Forum (which drew more than 300 attendees on Saturday), to discuss the refinancing, hiring frenzy, the maturation of AMPP and the GV Media Universe, and the growth of GV Alliance. Bank also touches on the new LDX 135 RF and LDX 150 RF camera solutions (with integrated wireless transmission via RF or 5G bonded cellular) debuting at the show, a new generation of IP I/O boards for its K-Frame XP series switchers, and its new modular production switcher solution, Maverik X.
