New VSN's webinar about Metadata will go through both basic concepts and advanced best practices to better understand the keys to get the most of Metadata management.
The Digital Era has brought numerous advantages for both broadcasters and journalists in terms of information volume and ubiquity, but it has also brought new challenges for the whole industry. Among others, the capacity of organizing the huge volume of information that media usually receive each day or the ability to locate data or interesting information sources in an easy and quick way. These are some of the tasks that have exponentially increased its complexity thanks to the Internet and the unlimited access to online information. However, all these processes have the key to their correct management in data organization.
With this background, and conscious of the challenges that currently face its clients, VSN has organized a new Webinar about Metadata to put some light on this concept and show how its use can enormously optimize the daily tasks of any media professional.
In particular, the masterclass named Would you pass the Metadata test?' will go through the origins and evolution that Metadata has suffered in the Broadcast and Media industry and will also cover some basic concepts such as the types, standards and sources of Metadata. Moreover, the webinar will also explain some other advanced subjects, such as Metadata structure, some good practices for its correct management and creation, or even concrete keys to optimize the cataloguing, search and content monetization processes thanks to them.
We usually think that Metadata is an exclusive tool for catalogers and we are very wrong', states VSN's Product Manager, Toni Vilalta. Metadata has become a necessary insight for any given media professional and it actually helps media companies to save costs and time while monetizing their productions. Thus, it has become an indispensable work tool and we have to learn how to use it properly. That is precisely what will lead the success of media companies in the future', ads Vilalta.
