Award-winning television presenter Lawrence Maleka is returning to the South African Music Awards (SAMA) stage on Sunday 28 August. After successfully hosting the DStv Viewers Choice Awards earlier this year, Maleka will be hosting the 28th annual SAMAs alongside Nandi Madida.

LAWRENCE MALEKA RETURNS TO THE SAMA STAGE The River star Lawrence Maleka hosted the 2021 SAMAs alongside Bontle Modiselle and this year, Maleka is returning to the stage with singer Nandi Madida.
I am again honoured to have received the call to host the country's most prestigious awards show, said Maleka in a statement as per Channel24.

The 30 categories, the phenomenal performers that will ignite the stage, the magic Nandi Madida and I will create on the stage. It's going to be a memorable iteration of the SAMAs.
MY BEST JOB IS MY NEXT JOB' Speaking to Channel24, Maleka described himself as an industry thief adding that he borrows from the people that he works with.

I always say my best job is my next job, so everything I get to do, everyone I get to work with, is a career highlight no matter what the experience has been, said the 32-year-old.
To anyone aspiring to go into the industry, I'd say learn the business and then aspire to be in front of the camera.

EVERYTHING TO KNOW ABOUT THE SAMAS The 28th annual SAMAs are set to take place on 28 August at Sun City in North West. All-round musician Zakes Bantwini leads the pack of nominees with a whopping seven nominations.
Tickets for the awards have gone on sale and start from R395. After-party tickets are also on sale and are R495 each.
Performers for the awards are yet to be announced.
