digiLED kicks off LED...

LED screen company digiLED launched the first in a series of three education days at its LED showroom in the UK called The Pixel Depot.

With 100% attendance and two further fully reserved days already in the calendar for 2016, the demand by AV integrators for more information about how to handle enquiries for LED screens seems apparent.

The level 1 foundation course was designed to start the LED education of AV integration experts, who are already selling complex multi-technology systems to end users, but have previously had little or no exposure to LED displays.

The aim of the foundation course is to transfer the knowledge to both specify the technology and demonstrate expertise by being able to fully answer their clients' questions. Developed with AV distributor AVM, and entitled 20 Great Questions To Ask , the course guided attendees through the key information that is needed to professionally specify and quote a complete turn-key LED screen installation.

The level 1 course is designed for sales people, technical pre-sales and technicians. Levels 2 and 3 offer more in-depth technical instruction with hands on experience, including building an LED screen wall and troubleshooting, as well as examining the theory behind LED driver technology and a host of other components.

The first LEDucation course was hosted by Jon Perkins, group technical sales manager, and speakers included digiLED CEO Graham Burgess, commercial director Guy Horrigan and technical director Tom Mudd.
