We re excited to announce a new partnership with digital content network Emerging Pictures to bring the Drafthouse Films catalog to more theaters than ever before. Just putting us one step closer to our planned goal of total cinematic domination by the year 2025.

Emerging Pictures Announces Partnership with Drafthouse Films

All-digital film and alternative content network, Emerging Pictures partners with Drafthouse Films, the distribution arm of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, to promote and distribute the Drafthouse catalogue of films.

Emerging Pictures will work with Drafthouse Films to bring the visionary company's unique selection of provocative and artfully unusual films to Emerging's network of theatres across America.

Drafthouse Films has curated their library with the best in independent, genre and foreign films, award-winning documentaries, cult classic and undiscovered repertory gems. These include the radical, Oscar Nominated documentary The Act of Killing by executive producers Werner Herzog and Errol Morris, Ari Folman's sci-fi/fantasy epic The Congress starring Robin Wright and Harvey Keitel, Michel Gondry's whimsical French romance Mood Indigo and the critically acclaimed romance-horror hybrid, Spring.

Emerging Pictures' seamless digital delivery and audience analysis tools will facilitate the expansion of Drafthouse Films' reach across hundreds of independent screens in all US markets. Drafthouse expands their reach for the goal of sharing the movies they love with the widest audience possible, a vision that fully resonates with Emerging Pictures.

To launch this collaboration, Emerging Pictures will make several of Drafthouse Films' critic favorites available to theatres including the 80s cult classic Roar starring Tippi Hedren and a young Melanie Griffith as a family living amongst lions, the multi-dimensional and mind-bending sci-fi film The Congress, celebrated rock documentaries A Band Called Death and 20,000 Days on Earth starring rock-icon Nick Cave and the dark comedy thriller, Cheap Thrills starring David Koechner, Pat Healy and Ethan Embry. Additional titles will be added throughout 2015.
