This Sunday on RT Radio 1The Prompt will begin at 7:30pm. Each week for eight weeks, the new literary series invites you to settle in and listen to new writing through the lens of some of Ireland's most distinguished writers.

Celebrating the power of story and the thrill of new writing, The Prompt will give another generation of storytellers a platform with fresh, original voices responding to the challenge in striking ways.

Presented by award-winning radio producer and literary curator Zo Comyns, The Prompt received an overwhelming response to its open call, with over 900 submissions of prose and poetry received. From this pool of talent, each episode features three standout pieces selected by that week's guest writer, bringing listeners a rich array of new writing in response to eight thought-provoking themes.

Each episode is shaped around a unique prompt offering writers a creative challenge and listeners a fresh, dynamic literary experience.
