Schaeffler Receives Supplier Certification From Caterpillar

Caterpillar, the world's leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives, presents its prestigious Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) certification to Schaeffler. Caterpillar presents the certification in recognition of Schaeffler's high product quality and delivery performance as well as the continuous optimization of its processes.

Schaeffler today announced that it has been presented with the Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) certification. The SQEP certification is recognized throughout the industry and is awarded to suppliers who consistently deliver top-level service and outstanding operational performance. Specific and stringently-defined targets in areas such as product quality, delivery performance and process optimization have to be met or exceeded to be awarded this certification. With Schaeffler's technological innovations, the company works to set the highest quality standards, while manufacturing in regions around the world where its customers are located.

Dr. Stefan Spindler, CEO Industrial at Schaeffler AG, Christian Zeidlhack, vice president global key account management at Schaeffler Industrial and Mike Paschke, global key account manager for Caterpillar at Schaeffler, accepted the commemoration at Caterpillar's administrative offices in Peoria, Ill. Caterpillar and Schaeffler have been business allies for many years. FAG and INA-brand products including tapered and cylindrical roller bearings are used in Caterpillar machines such as dozers, mining trucks and excavators.
