Actress attacked by Skeem Saam' fans for mistress role, Melita Skeem Saam' actress Hellen Motsuki says she got attacked by a woman with a trolley at a mall because of her mistress role Melita.

Skeem Saam actress Hellen Motsuki, who plays Melita made headlines when she became Mr Kgomo's mistress this season.

SKEEM SAAM' ACTRESS: A WOMAN HIT ME' The talented actress Hellen Motsuki adds that she got attacked several times by Skeem Saam fans because of the popular mistress role, Melita.

Motsuki tells Sowetan that a woman in her 60s attacked her a few weeks ago while she was busy shopping.

She hit me in the heel with a trolley. When I looked at her, she said, I did it purposely because you are stealing other women's husbands. I swear if you do that to my husband, I will deal with you.' It was only then that it hit me that she thought I was Melita.

She adds that in another incident at another Skeem Saam fan at an award event a woman asked to take a picture with her and she agreed.

While her husband was taking pictures, she told her not to steal her husband: My heart just sank because I noticed that she was seeing my TV character .

Motsuki adds that in general soapie fans love and have embraced her character: Others ask me to say Melita's favourite lines like captain my captain' and serope mperekele' (thigh do the job for me - of seducing men).

HER MISTRESS ROLE AS MELITA The popular actress Hellen Motsuki plays Mr Kgomo's mistress Melita and hospital receptionist in Skeem Saam.

She had an affair with John Maputla (played by Africa Tsoai) who is married to Meikie Maputla. She is now having an affair with hospital CEO Obed Kgomo (Lebogang Oliphant) who is married to Ivy.

The actress who was born and bred in Lephalale, Limpopo says Melita is a good person whose behaviour changed lately because of difficult circumstances.

She describes her character as a very independent woman who is raising her own children and has never depended on any man. In real-life Motsuki ia a married woman, who got her break in Generations in 2010 and is a mother of one.
