Ningbo Music Port Project Officially Launched

The 3rd Zhejiang Provincial Chorus Festival as well as the 8th Chinese Filial Piety Cultural Festival closedin Ningbo Grand Theater on the evening of October 16th. The Ningbo Music Port was officially launched in the closing ceremony.

The ceremony joined the chorus contest with the filial piety festival in celebrating the beauty of chorus and embracing the warmth and strength of filial piety.The chorus contest attracted 54 chorus teams from 11 cities in the province to compete for the final prize and invited top music artists as contest judges.

Jiangbei District is under way of advocating the construction of "Cultural Jiangbei", a far-reaching project aims at transforming Jiangbei into a Zhedong Culture center and an international cultural exchange platform with advanced cultural industry. As a part of Ningbo Music City program, Ningbo Music Portis designed to be a featured block with strong music characteristics integrating the music, tourism and fashion industry. It will be co-built by Jiangbei District, Central Conservatory of Music, China Conservatory of Music andJadebird Cultural Group.

Philanthropy is deeply embedded in the history of Jiangbei. SinceJiangbei Charity Federation was established in 2006, it has achieved remarkable results in promoting charities in the whole district. At the closing ceremony yesterday, the honor of Charitable Community was given to eight communities including Chencun Village ofHongtang Street, Qianyang Village of Cicheng Town and Yancang Community of Zhongma Street.Charitable individuals(like Chen Qian) and enterprises and institutes, such as Ningbo Consinne Co., Ltd., Ningbo Urban Area Rural Credit Cooperative, were also awarded.
