The new film made in Argentina opened the Official Section of the 73rd edition of the San Sebasti n International Film Festival, with participation from Hendler, its director and lead actor, along with producers Santiago Mitre and Agustina Llambi Campbell (La Uni n de los R os).
It will premiere on Netflix on October 17.

The new film, made in Argentina, opened the Official Section and marks the first production by Santiago Mitre and Agustina Llambi Campbell (La Uni n de los R os) for Netflix. The world premiere featured the participation of director and lead actor Daniel Hendler, producers Santiago Mitre and Agustina Llambi Campbell, and actress Carla Peterson, who also took part in the official activities of the international competition. After its showing at the San Sebasti n International Film Festival, 27 Nights will be screened in select cinemas in Argentina starting on October 9 and will be released globally on Netflix on October 17.
Synopsis Martha Hoffman, an eccentric and wealthy 83-year-old patron, is admitted to a psychiatric clinic at the request of her daughters, who claim she suffers from dementia. The judicial expert Casares investigates whether Martha is truly ill or if she has simply chosen to live her last years with absolute freedom, while questioning whether the admission is an act of protection or an attempt to control her fortune.
