Back to work at HBS: a busy end ...

After a busy and exciting beginning of the summer which saw HBS participate to the delivery of two global football events (Copa America Centenario and UEFA EURO 2016), August was the occasion to rest and appreciate as connoisseurs the brilliant work of our colleagues from host broadcaster OBS during the Rio 2016 Olympics Games.

But as September dawns, it is now time for HBS to head back to work and what an end of 2016 the next months will be!

Some of the HBS teams are already hard at work: on 21 August, the teams travelled to Hamburg (Germany) to cover Ironman' EuroEyes Cyclassics event, where HBS acted as the host broadcaster. On the same busy day, the HBS Production team oversaw the Ironman race in Copenhagen (Denmark) to produce a 26 minute highlights video.

Later this month, HBS will also be resuming its long standing and successful partnership with the SCC Events and cover for the fourth year in a row the BMW Berlin Marathon. Tasked with the host broadcasting of the event, HBS produces not only the world feed, but also caters for unilateral services and, in the lead-up of the marathon, delivers additional content. A promotional highlight film is compiled for the organisers after the race.

But before all, HBS is thinking long term and has had a busy calendar, including an industry landmark: the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam (Netherlands) held last week (8-13 September). The event was the occasion to attend the SVG Production Summit held on 8 September and to share with leaders from the broadcasting world and specialised journalists some thought-provoking insight about the evolution of production set-ups.

IBC also offered the opportunity for HBS' teams to evaluable the added value and do-ability new technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) or innovative production techniques, before considering including them in any HBS' production operation.
