The days leading up to NAB Show 2023 were full of anticipation. Who would be there? What announcements were coming? Where is the Uber pickup line?

Then I blinked, and it was all over.

More than 65,000 broadcast, media, and entertainment industry professionals gathered in Las Vegas to celebrate the centennial NAB Show. The 575,000-square-foot exhibition (yes, I walked most of it) buzzed with excitement about the latest trends and technologies on display. Newbies marveled at the biggest booths and even veteran attendees were impressed by recent developments like the Loop. There was something new for everyone to experience.

Cloud Computing & Storage Award Winners (Again!) SNS officially launched EVO Cloud at the show, and it's already making headlines. The newly announced cloud storage workflow solution from SNS won Cloud Computing & Storage Product of the Year at NAB Show 2023, marking the company's second consecutive win in this category.

Last year, SNS won Cloud Computing & Storage Product of the Year and Remote Production Product of the Year Awards with the EVO Suite, the intelligent collection of software tools included with every EVO solution.

This year's winner, EVO Cloud, includes the award-winning EVO Suite plus secure remote access for unlimited users, expert set up and training, and upgraded support. MOD powered by EVO was carried around the booth like a child's favorite teddy bear. Everyone wanted to see and hold the new hardware. Admired for its lightweight portability, MOD is the smallest workflow server from SNS, optimized as a cloud edge device and travel-friendly edit server.

SNS also launched Transcode Accelerator at the show, which can speed up transcode jobs significantly by sharing workload-intensive processes across multiple EVOs in your shared storage environment. Transcode Accelerator is available as a free plug-in for users running EVO OS v.7.

And if you stopped by the SNS or Vizrt/NewTek booths at NAB 2023, you likely saw the latest updates to SNS's NDI Plug-in. With the newest plug-in, users have a complete NDI-enabled workflow at their fingertips, including capture, media management, transcoding, automations, remote editing, cloud workflows, collaboration, and more. The update is currently available for NRS users running v.7.
