KRK launch Kreate Series monitors

Three new entry-level models introduced

Catering to everything from casual listening to professional content creation, KRK's new Kreate Series monitors promise to deliver astonishing accuracy and clarity at a very modest price.

Available three-, five- and eight-inch versions, the new entry-level offerings are all active two-way models that employ new transducer designs and hybrid Class-D/Class-AB amplification. Each model includes some useful acoustic boundary correction and tuning EQ - both high- and low-frequency shelf filters are provided - that help to minimise and correct issues caused by the acoustic environment, as well as allowing users to tailor the voicing to meet their specific needs.

As for the drivers, the low end is taken care of by KRK's composite woven glass fibre woofers, which they say deliver a tight and punchy midrange and low-frequency response that's perfect for casual and professional playback environments. High-frequency reproduction, meanwhile, is handled by a carefully designed textile dome tweeter with a neodymium motor, which accurately extends the frequency range out to 40kHz in the KRK Kreate 8 and 5 options, and up to 33 kHz in the Kreate 3.

In addition to their analogue line-level connectivity, all three models feature a built-in Bluetooth receiver that allows users to stream audio wirelessly from their devices without the need for an audio interface.
