Magaqa has had her misfortunes in the industry Magaqa made the headlines in 2014 when she got escorted' off the premises of her then-workplace ANN7. In 2020, she made trends when Masechaba Ndlovu got appointed as the new spokesperson for the department of arts and culture by Minister Nathi Mthethwa, which would mean Magaqa was fired but what caused people to mock her were her tweets which could suggest she didn't even know.

Magaqa's fans and people who loved listening to her during her Umhlobo Wenene FM days showered her with love upon the announcement of the news.
