SABC1 exclusively broadcasts Khuli Chana film --

SABC1 viewers will get to see an exclusive viewing of the film, Khuli Chana: Picking up the Pieces, scheduled to broadcast in a two-part series on Sunday 6 and 13 November 2016, at 21h00.
Produced by Khuli Chana s life partner, Asanda Maku, and distributed by Seed Entertainment, the film chronicles the life and times of one of Mzansi s most successful motswako rapper, born Khulani Morule better known to millions of his adoring fans as Khuli Chana. It covers the year that was 2013, which saw Khuli Chana going from winning big at the SAMAs and other award shows, having his music dominate on air waves, being one of SA s most loved personalities, to being involved in a case of mistaken identity shooting and having to pick up the pieces of his life there-after.
Khuli Chana: Picking up the Pieces will see Khuli Chana speak candidly, for the first time in more than two years, about the unfortunate shooting incident and how it impacted his life forever. Interviews were done with the likes of Karyn Maughan, the crime reporter who extensively covered the wrongful shooting in the media; Daniel Witz, the lead attorney on the criminal case; Refiloe Ramogase, Khuli Chana s manager at the time and Raiko, Khuli Chana s DJ, who was first to arrive on the scene after the shooting.
SABC1 enjoys the biggest youthful audience and its new communication message LIFE & TV ARE ONE speaks to telling young people s stories through their experiences and the Khuli Chana story represents an inspirational story that we firmly believe that the SABC must tell, says Zandile Nkonyeni, head of PR: SABC TV Channels. The channel will continue to recognise young trail blazers and provide them the platform to showcase their talents as a way to inspire, educate and motivate their peers, she adds
The film was first released to the public at the beginning of September 2016 via selected Ster-Kinekor cinemas nationwide. This would be the first opportunity for television viewers to view it!
