Compassion for the Community: WRAL-TV's Catherine Fitzhenry Helps Station Support St. Jude Run/Walk

WRAL-TV Senior Promotion Operations & Event Coordinator Catherine Fitzhenry is a linchpin in WRAL's support for events in the Triangle community. She recently shared about helping represent the Big 5 at the St. Jude Walk/Run in Raleigh on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

The most significant battles can only be won when we stand together. For the past two years, WRAL-TV has had the privilege of being a Community Partner of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This past weekend was an absolute blast as we rallied behind their annual Triangle Run/Walk event!

Months of planning and marketing efforts paid off, and we're thrilled to share that the Triangle community came together to raise an astounding $187,208.74 for the research hospital. This is a testament to the compassion and commitment of our community, and we couldn't be prouder to be a part of it!

As September marks Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, there's still time to make an impact. St. Jude continues to accept donations, and every contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a world of difference. A special shoutout to our friends at Radio One, and a big thank you to Wool E Bull and Stormy the Ice Hog for visiting WRAL's Storm Tracker! It was a heartwarming Saturday spent with an amazing group of community partners, all united in our mission to cure childhood cancer.
