Cerberus Tech Introduces Livelink Studio for On-Demand Live Production

Cerberus Tech has introduced Livelink Studio, an integrated cloud production and master control environment that provides redundant live production engines on demand. Use cases include tailoring world feeds for international markets, applying data-driven graphics in multiple languages, launching event-based channels, and standing up disaster-recovery playout and cloud overflow for existing facilities.

Livelink Studio is built on the Livelink control plane for live broadcast and the Matrox ORIGIN asynchronous media framework. It offers frame-accurate switching, audio-video synchronization, low latency, uncompressed transport, and built-in scalability and redundancy. Broadcasters can launch a production on demand, shut it down when the show ends, and re-launch it for later events under a pay-as-you-go model.

Switching, audio, and graphics are handled natively within the control surfaces. Switching includes cut, auto, mix, dip, and wipe transitions with live programme and preview monitoring. Audio includes native mixing, per-channel fader control, VU metering, full digital signal processing, and lip-sync adjustment. Graphics support overlays, lower thirds, tickers, and downstream keying, with automation that can pull live data feeds into on-air graphics. The tools can be run by one operator from a single screen or split across team members working remotely or on site, with a full API and support for external panels.

Additional features include an integrated multiviewer; a media library with local and Amazon S3 storage; recording, routing, salvos, test signal generation, and project format management; real-time SRT telemetry, stream diagnostics, and Grafana integration; and operator control locking and guarded deletion. Native Livelink and SRT ingest come with automated workflow provisioning, and NDI inputs are supported.

Livelink Studio can run as a stand-alone module or as part of a broader Livelink implementation, with sources coming in through Livelink and programme output flowing back for transport, repackaging, scheduling, and distribution. Linked A and B instances run simultaneously with failover and independent control, and Livelink can feed both from a single source.
