Romantic Afrikaans film screens on Valentine s Day --

South African produced Afrikaans-language film Pad na jou Hart, described as one of the most romantic movies of the year, releases on Valentine s Day this year at select Ster-Kinekor digital cinemas nationwide.

Starring Ivan Botha (Bakgat! trilogy) and Donnalee Roberts (Klein Karoo), of SABC2 s popular soapie 7de Laan fame, the story centres around an overly confident businessman, Basson van Rensburg (Botha) who meets the free-spirited Amory (Roberts) on the way to his father s funeral in Cape Town.

Together they travel through South Africa in the movie which showcases the country s natural beauty, meet interesting characters, discover more about themselves and each other than they could ever have imagined. But is love on the cards for the pair who are both reluctant to sacrifice their independence?

The film also stars, among others, Marius Weyers, David James, Kevin Smith, Marcel van Heerden, Lida Botha, Francois Jacobs, Solomon Cupido, Anton Dekker and Franci Swanepoel.

Pad na jou Hart was directed by Jaco Smit, written by Ivan Botha and Donnalee Roberts and produced by The Film Factory and Memory Box Productions.
