Held from November 14 to 17, 2024, the Macau Grand Prix drew over 100,000 spectators and presented enormous challenges in terms of broadcast complexity and scalability. The legacy baseband video system in use was no longer sufficient it lacked the flexibility, scalability, and reliability needed for modern live production.

Overcoming Infrastructure Challenges

Video transmission was often unstable, cabling was cumbersome, and distribution to various critical areas such as the main control center, commentary booths, and security rooms was limited and inefficient. This hindered real-time collaboration among production, broadcast, and safety teams.

Kiloview s NDI-Powered AV-over-IP Solution

Kiloview addressed these challenges with a comprehensive AV-over-IP deployment based on the NDI protocol. At the heart of the solution were Kiloview NDI N60 Converters, which replaced traditional HDMI transmission by delivering ultra-low latency 4Kp60 HDR video. KiloLink Server Pro supported centralized device management, enabling firmware updates and remote troubleshooting with greater ease.
