Vionlabs, the industry leading provider of AI-powered content analysis, announces new funding and hires following major growth in revenue and customers. The company's growth is attributed to the global acceleration in demand for streaming services to differentiate their video offerings by analyzing the emotional structure of their content libraries and create personalized recommendations.
Vionlabs increased its revenues year-on-year following a surge of 700% in its international customer roster. In order to maximize the effectiveness of its services and better support the needs of its customers, Vionlabs secured new funding which it is has already put to work, hiring a COO and a number of key AI and machine learning experts. The company appointed Cecilie Chen as Chief Operating Officer to manage and drive the company's continued global growth. Chen brings deep experience to the role from her previous position as Head of Business Development at Acast, the worlds largest global podcast marketplace, where she designed and implemented an international expansion strategy for the company and significantly increased its revenues and customer base.
Vionlabs is helping media organizations realize the importance of emotional data, so they can deliver more personalized and intuitive experiences to end users and I couldn't be more excited about joining the team during this period of tremendous growth, said Chen.
Over the past year, Vionlabs has strengthened its product portfolio and performed content analysis on over 50,000 titles. In addition to its Content Analysis Platform, Vionlabs launched its Emotional Fingerprint API which is deployed through a Data as a Service model to enable media companies to make better decisions based on deep AI generated video data and insights, including the emotional content of video.
Market leading streaming companies and video distributors increasingly understand the advantages of the Vionlabs emotional data approach to understanding video content at scale and the impact this data can have in making better decisions, said Marcus Bergstr m, CEO, Vionlabs. Nuanced content data and our AI-powered analysis of consumer viewing behavior data provide a step-change in the quality of automated decision making in the content industry, including content recommendation, hyper-personalization, content acquisition and advertising performance optimization. The December 2020 closing of our latest funding round enables us to build on the successes of the past year and expand our team to meet the surge in demand for our AI-powered content analysis solutions.
As testament to the robustness and uniqueness of Vionlabs' solutions, it was awarded a Videonet Connected TV Award for Excellence in Data Analytics, AI or Machine Learning for its Content Discovery Platform, and awarded the UX Award at the VideoTech Innovation Awards.
