Matrox Video today announced that video equipment manufacturer China Digital Video (Beijing) Limited (CDV) has chosen the X.mio3 SDI video card as the heart of its new Mariana5D-4K online graphics system and its A10-4K character generator. The company has also chosen Matrox DSX LE4 LP low-profile, half-length SDI I/O cards for its new X-Recorder multi-channel ingest system.
Matrox products will be showcased at BIRTV2015 (Beijing, August 26-29) in local distributor Beijing Jinzhongheng Technology Ltd.'s, booth 1B106. China Digital Video products will be demonstrated in booth 5003.

CDV and the Matrox OEM team have a long-standing relationship that has resulted in Matrox products being used in television production facilities throughout China, said Mingkai Yang, Matrox director of sales and marketing for APAC. The new Mariana5D-4K, A10-4K and X-Recorder systems are a natural evolution of CDV's product line to give broadcasters more cost-effective tools.
Matrox X.mio3 LP and DSX LE4 LP are low-profile, half-length PCIe cards that offer up to eight reconfigurable I/Os, from SD to 4K. On X.mio3 LP, multi-channel hardware processing accelerates compute-intensive operations including motion-adaptive de-interlacing, up/down/cross scaling and mixing/compositing for all resolutions. Along with comprehensive Matrox DSX SDKs for Windows or Linux and unlimited Matrox applications engineering support, the cards provides the I/O flexibility OEMs need to get quickly to market with small-footprint channel-in-a-box systems, video servers, broadcast graphics systems, encoders, transcoders, multiviewers, switchers and other digital media equipment.
The Matrox DSX SDKs offer a common API across all Matrox DSX Developer Products providing a full set of powerful tools including versatile file reading/writing, memory management, streaming synchronization, and a large selection of software codecs and effects. A prototyping tool provides a graphical representation of all hardware components so developers can simulate and test their use cases within minutes, before writing a single line of code.
