Over the years, Zakhele Madida, popularly known as Zakes Bantwini, has kept Mzansi on its feet with hit tracks like Clap Your Hands, Wasting My Time and Osama. After 15 years in the music industry, the SAMA nominated star is taking a step back from the music industry to focus on other aspects of his life, including his new venture, a rooftop venu in Cape Town.

ZAKES BANTWINI RETIRES' FROM MUSIC Zakes Bantwini has released more than five albums during his music carer and has collaborated with some of South Africa's top musicians including Nana Atta and Kasango, who features on Bantwini's chart-topping single, Osama.
Speaking to IOL, the 42-year-old musician said he is not retiring from the music industry, but he is taking a hiatus.

This is not the end but I feel I have to take a step back to focus on other aspects of my life and when you have fans that love what you do as much as you do, it's important to share your journey with them. Going mute isn't an option, it would be unfair, explained Bantwini.
BANTWINI'S NEW VENTURE Zakes Bantwini has opened Studio, a rooftop venue at Cape Town's high-end Rockefellar Hotel. The musician enlisted award-winning interior designer Tristan du Plessis to bring the venue to life.
Taking to Instagram on 8 August to celebrate the venue, Bantwini thanked his business partners for contributing to the project.
Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organisational objectives. It is the common people to attain uncommon results.

-- BEFORE RETIREMENT, ONE LAST ALBUM Zakes Bantwini is set to release his last studio album, Abantu, in November. This comes after the star musician's SAMA-nominated album release, Ghetto King.
Bantwini will perform a one-man show at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on 19 November to celebrate the release.
