SABC 1 breaks its prime time Sunday viewer record --

SABC 1 recently introduced its innovative Sunday prime-time schedule offering starting in August 2017. The schedule strategy dubbed Spring Burst has already succeeded in disrupting Sunday television viewing patterns as seen by immediate positive results.
The very first episode of the much-anticipated local drama series, Tjovitjo, which aired on Sunday 20 August at 20h00, enjoyed a massive record-breaking viewership on Sundays, pulling in excess of 5.7 million television viewers. Other local shows which started in the same day also registered high rankings with the local series, Intersexions S1, in the 19h30 timeslot drawing 4.3 million viewers and Shaka Zulu (The Series) at 20h30 scoring 2.3 million sure hits.
The second episode of Tjovitjo promises Mzansi viewers more of the same cutting-edge authentic storytelling at is best as they get to know more about the one- and-only Mafred and the amatjovitjo! The episode is titled Mob Justice and will see the kasi s main street waking up to shocking news.
Intersexions S1 will continue in its second episode to weave twisted sexual networks by putting the issue of deception within relationships under the spotlight.
Episode 2 of Shaka Zulu (The Series) will bring Mzansi viewers more exciting stories from Kwa-Bulawayo where the young king Shaka continues in his historic quest to consolidate the fragmented Natal tribes and forge them into one strong nation called AmaZulu.
