rd Ningbo-Kaohsiung Forum to be held

It is learned from the Ningbo Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office that the 3rd Ningbo-Kaohsiung Forum will be held from October 25 to 37 to consolidate the inter-party working exchanges between the two cities and realize the normalization of the exchanges. As a platform for communication and cooperation, the forum aims to promote the communication and cooperation between the two cities in such fields as trade & economy and culture for a win-win situation.

This years session of the forum will be jointly held by Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Kaohsiung Municipal Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang. With the theme on "youth organization cooperation and development", the forum will invite over 100 directors or representatives of the youth organizations from the two cities for discussion and exchanges.

With the characteristics of sharing, interaction and exchange, the forum will include such activities as the meeting of the representatives, the opening ceremony, the keynote speeches, the featured promoting and docking agreement signing, the evening party and the visiting of youth organizations, in the hope of reflecting the features, achievements and development of the youth work and youth organizations of the two cities, displaying the youth activities in supporting and participating in the political, economic or livelihood domains, and highlighting the leading role of the youth in promoting the cross-strait relations. With colorful activities, this forum is another important event since the starting of the inter-party exchanges between the two cities in 2011, as well as an important event in the cross-strait relations development.

According to a person in charge from the Taiwan Affairs Office, the forum will promote the mutual understanding and friendship between the citizens of the two cities, enhance the influence of the exchange and cooperation of the cross-strait youth organizations, promote the communication and cooperation in trade and culture and lead to the development and prosperity of the two cities.
