Sonnet and Sony Team Up to Offer Sonnet Ingest Products With Purchase of Sony SxS PRO 64GB Memory Cards
Read with Speed' Promotion Rewards Sony SxS Media Customers With Free Sonnet Thunderbolt Adapters or Multicard Readers
IRVINE, CA-August 30, 2012-Sonnet Technologies today announced that it is working with Sony Electronics Inc. to make a special offer for its North American customers: purchase Sony SxS PRO 64GB memory cards and receive a choice of Sonnet Thunderbolt adapters or multicard readers. The Read with Speed promotion will run Sept. 1 through Oct. 31.
Sony SxS PRO memory cards are synonymous with high transfer speeds and reliability. Likewise, our ultra-fast SxS card readers and Thunderbolt Adapter offer exceptional I/O performance, said Greg LaPorte, vice president of sales and marketing at Sonnet Technologies. Through the Read with Speed' promotion, both Mac and PC users can move their file-based workflows into the fast lane, ingesting content from SxS cards in a fraction of the time previously required.
Purchasers of Sony SxS PRO SBP64A memory cards can choose from several Sonnet adapter or reader options to fit their own hardware-configuration and workflow needs. Users of computers with a Thunderbolt interface who purchase two Sony SxS PRO memory cards will receive a single-slot Echo ExpressCard Pro Thunderbolt Adapter plus a $100 rebate check. The Echo ExpressCard Pro is a portable single-slot SxS memory card reader capable of ingesting content at transfer speeds up to 1.2 GB/s (150 MB/s).
For each purchase of four Sony SxS PRO 64GB memory cards, users of Mac or Windows notebooks with ExpressCard slots, or Mac or Windows workstations with PCIe interfaces, will receive a Sonnet Qio E3 Pro SxS media reader. The Qio E3 Pro provides simultaneous high-speed ingest of content from three SxS memory cards at a transfer speed up to 1.6 GB/s (200 MB/s) for ExpressCard slots (model QIO-E3-E34) or a transfer speed up to 3.2 GB/s (400 MB/s) for PCIe interfaces (model QIO-E3-PCIE).
Finally, users of computers with Thunderbolt interfaces who purchase five Sony SxS PRO 64GB memory cards will receive the single-slot Sonnet Echo ExpressCard PRO Thunderbolt Adapter plus the Qio E3 Pro SxS Media Reader (model QIO-E3), as well as a $100 rebate check.
