Former Metro FM DJ and award-winning actress Katlego Danke, who recently made headlines for an alleged affair with Patrice Motsepe has starred in many TV shows such as Backstage, Generations, Gomora, Isidingo, and more.

WHERE WAS THE ACTRESS BORN? Briefly reports that the Backstage and Gomora actress Katlego Danke was born in the North West of South Africa. Her childhood was spent in Mafikeng, Potchefstroom, Mabopane, and Ga-Rankuwa.

SHE WORKED ON METRO FM

The popular actress Katlego Danke, who plays Thati in Gomora once worked as a DJ at Metro FM. TVSA reported in March 2007 that she was a trainee DJ at SABC radio station Metro FM.

The then-29-year-old actress was reportedly stabbed in the forehead Saturday morning (4 am) while leaving the SABC Radio Studios in Auckland Park, according to The Sunday Tribune.

The actress was then admitted into a hospital in Johannesburg, where she is currently stable. She underwent an operation and was later discharged.

KATLEGO IS A SAFTA AND ROYALTY SOAPIE AWARD WINNER IMBD reported in 1993 that she won a SAFTA (South African Fillm and Television Awards) for Best Actress in a TV Soap for her Generations role as Dineo Mashaba.

TshisaLIVE reports that the actress won Outstanding Lead Actress for her role as Thati in Mzansi Magic's telenovela Gomora on Saturday, 11 March 2023.

DANKE POPULAR TV ROLES Though the 43-year-old radio has appeared in many TV shows, her most recognisable soapie role is Dineo Mashaba in SABC1's soapie Generations, now dubbed Generations: The Legacy.

On the show, she was famously known as the wife of the legendary and intimidating business tycoon Kenneth Mashaba, played by Seputla Sebogodi.

She landed her breakout role in January 2002 as Keketso on e.tv's youth soapie Backstage before playing Dineo. She then joined SABC3's canned soapie Isidingo as Kgothalo in 2016 before joining Gomora as Thati.

TVSA reveals that she's also appeared in the made-for-TV movie Elna Liebe in Afrika as Sophia and also appeared in commercials for Vanish, Clover, Klipdrift brandy, Honda, and presented the LOTTO.

GOMORA' STAR RELATIONSHIPS According to ZAlebs, the TV personality was in a relationship with Andile Ncube before recently making headlines for her alleged romance with billionaire Patrice Motsepe.

Both the actress and the businessman rubbished claims of their relationship. It is unclear who she is in a relationship with or who the father of her children is she's extremely private.
