SUDDENLINK CHAIRMAN AND CEO JERRY KENT, COMCAST CORPORATION VICE CHAIRMAN AND CFO MICHAEL ANGELAKIS TO BE FEATURED AT 2014 SCTE-TUCK LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
FEB. 26, 2014 (Exton, PA) The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth today announced that Jerry Kent, chairman and CEO of Suddenlink Communications, and Michael Angelakis, vice chairman and CFO of Comcast Corporation, will be featured presenters during the 2014 SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program, which will be held May 4-9 on the Dartmouth College campus.
Kent and Angelakis will offer their perspectives on managing and growing successful businesses in today's entertainment and communications environment during one-on-one discussions with members of the SCTE-Tuck faculty and question-and-answer sessions with program participants. The appearances by Kent and Angelakis mark the first time that the SCTE-Tuck program has offered two industry thought leaders as featured speakers in the same program.
"The opportunity for our participants to spend quality time engaging with and learning from the leading executives in our industry has been rated as one of the highlights of the SCTE-Tuck experience," said Mark Dzuban, president and CEO of SCTE. "We're grateful to Jerry Kent and Mike Angelakis for committing the time and resources needed to help us further expand the learning opportunities available to the next generation of our industry's leaders."
Since the launch of the SCTE Leadership Institute in 2011, more than 200 executives and mid-level managers have completed the SCTE-Tuck program or a companion initiative, the SCTE-Georgia Tech Management Development Program. The immersive curricula offer opportunities for intensive learning and peer interaction for executives representing cable system operators, vendors, industry associations and other organizations. Guest lecturers at SCTE-Tuck programs have included Michael Powell, president and CEO of NCTA and former chairman of the Federal Communications Commission; Glenn Britt, chairman and CEO of Time Warner Cable; and Neil Smit, president and CEO of Comcast.
Applications for the SCTE-Tuck program are available for qualified executives in the United States and abroad. Additional information is available at www.scte.org/tuck. Information on all SCTE Leadership Institute programs is available at http://www.scte.org/institute.
The SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program is designed to help C-Level executives, vice presidents and senior directors foster the leadership and critical-thinking skills needed for the creation and implementation of successful business and technology strategies. The program leverages the faculty and resources of the Tuck School of Business, which is consistently ranked among the world's Top 10 business schools by Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and U.S. News & World Report.
