Big Mouth' Prepares for a Happy Ending With Cross-Country Farewell Tour

Greetings from Cooter, Missouri and Intercourse, Alabama!

Those were just two of the, ahem, colorful stops on the Big Mouth Swallows America Farewell Tour ahead of the adult animated comedy's eighth and final season, premiering May 23 on Netflix.

Big Mouth, featuring the voice talents of Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Ayo Edebiri, Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Andrew Rannells and Maya Rudolph in her four-time Emmy-winning role, follows teenage friends as they find their lives upended by the wonders and horrors of puberty.

Since fans first met Maurice, Rick, Connie and all the other hormone monsters wreaking havoc at Bridgeton Middle School, the series has broken boundaries with its edgy humor, embracing the awkward and hilarious journey of adolescence - tackling conversations about taboos with humor and honesty.

At the tail end of the tour, Connie and Maurice found a spot to rest on the Netflix Marquee on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles.

The result is a series that's beloved by both critics and fans, with Seasons 1-7 having amassed over 375M views and more than 156M social impressions per season. Ahead of its premiere, Season 8 has already garnered over 24M social impressions. With the debut of Season 8, Big Mouth will clock in at 81 episodes (not to mention 74 songs and 222 guest stars!)

To give a proper send-off, co-creator, executive producer and star Kroll and the Big Mouth team made 12 stops across 10 states in a custom vehicle with one mission in mind: to meet the fans who have supported the series for eight seasons. Along the way, they hosted special advance screenings of the Season 8 premiere in major cities like Dallas, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco and Tampa, where eager fans also had the chance to score Big Mouth-branded condoms, pads and tampons as well as official plushies from the Netflix Shop. In between screenings, the crew made pit stops in places with names that'd make a hormone monster blush - like Cooter, Intercourse, and The Phallus (you read that right) in Utah.

The tour culminated with the official Season 8 premiere at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. The red fuzzy yellow carpet, designed to embody the hormone-fueled tone of the series, featured hormone monster mechanical bulls and other playful elements. Some of the show's most dedicated fans were invited to the event, which climaxed with a screening of one of the new episodes (which dares to answer fans' biggest burning questions about sex and human development). The screening was followed by a Q&A with co-creators and executive producers Jennifer Flackett, Andrew Goldberg and Mark Levin, and voice talent Edebiri, Klein, Mantzoukas and Rannells hosted by Kroll.

Big Mouth may be closing up for good, but fans don't need to bust out the tissues quite yet. We recently announced that Mating Season, a new adult animated series from the same wild minds that brought you Big Mouth, is coming to Netflix in 2026. The comedy is set in the animal world starring a cast of bears, raccoons, deer, foxes and a host of other horny, lovable forest critters, as they navigate love, sexual relationships and the universal need to hook up and find a partner.
