Studio Network Solutions unveiling new EVO DPX shared storage at Blackmagic Design Conference

Studio Network Solutions (SNS), a leading manufacturer of shared storage hardware and software for the media and entertainment industry, today announced that the upcoming Blackmagic Design Conference and Expo on February 11-13th would feature the first public unveiling of EVO DPX, the latest addition to the EVO shared storage lineup, designed to make it simple for teams to integrate demanding coloring and finishing workflows into a shared storage environment with a single system.

The system features an eight-disk SSD architecture and comes pre-configured with 25-Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The standard EVO DPX system is capable of up to 3,000 MBytes/sec in real-world settings, and is qualified for 16-bit 4K DPX and OpenEXR at 30fps. EVO DPX also includes multiple ports of 10-Gigabit and 1-Gigabit Ethernet for up to five direct-connect users by default.

We created EVO DPX because people needed a better way to do shared DPX and OpenEXR workflows. Massive and over complicated Fibre Channel deployments are no longer necessary. Now you can do 16-bit 4K DPX workflows with just 8 disks, over IP. It's simpler, and more flexible than ever, said Ryan Stoutenborough, President of Studio Network Solutions.
