Sim Camera Responds to Increased Demand With New Hires and Promotions

John DeBoer, President of Sim Camera, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jaymie Bickfordto VP Camera, U.S., and the hiring of Bill Russell to VP Sales, Camera U.S. Sim Camera is a division of Sim, North American leaders providing end-to-end solutions for TV and feature film production and post production in LA, Vancouver, Toronto, New York and Atlanta.

Jaymie has been critical in the rapid growth of our Los Angeles Camera business, says DeBoer. She will now also lead our Camera operations in Atlanta and support clients across the U.S. Jaymie has an outstanding reputation in the industry and since joining Sim 2017 she has attracted major clients and helped make their projects successes.

Bill has a long history serving clients in sales and has a vast knowledge of camera equipment and the industry as a whole, says Bickford. We're pleased that he's joined Sim as we work to provide the best possible service and product knowledge for our clients. Demand for our services in the U.S. has increased so much that we needed someone of Bill's depth and breadth of experience and relationships.

Bickford has been a great influence on Sim's LA Camera division. She brings over 20 years of experience managing and leading camera operations teams. Her career includes time with Broadcast Equipment Rentals Company, Bexel where she set up their New York and Irvine, CA offices, and Clairmont Camera. Jaymie ensures Sim Camera U.S. provides a quality of service that significantly exceeds industry standards.

I am excited by the challenge of growing the Los Angeles and Atlanta markets as well as others emerging across the U.S., says Bickford. Sim has given me the opportunity to put my experience to practical use and has deepened my appreciation for a corporate culture that values team collaboration, while putting the client first.

Russell is charged with establishing and maintaining relationships with Sim clients in the U.S. market, and will oversee business development activities in both the Los Angeles and Atlanta Camera operations. He has served as an account executive for post-production services, was Vice President, Camera Products for ARRI, and ran a consulting business for entrepreneurs seeking to enter or improve their position in the motion picture industry. He has strong ties with the ICG Local 600, and is an Associate Member of the ASC and AMPAS.
