Masstech Solutions Rewrite Rules, Reset Expectations and Help Broadcasters Increase the Value of Content Resources
TORONTO, Canada-November 19, 2013-Masstech Group, whose solutions enable media companies to save, share and transform content, today announced it had achieved remarkable growth in fiscal 2013 with another year of both double digit growth in revenue and profitability. The company's groundbreaking Masstech for News solution, introduced in April 2013, has been widely accepted by newsrooms in the U.S. with deployments started or planned at major groups including Cordillera, CBS, Gannett, LIN, Post-Newsweek, Scripps, Sinclair and other leading media companies. Coupled with sales of Masstech Enterprise solutions for archiving and media management, Masstech increased its sales backlog by more than 60% over the previous year to its highest level in more than five years.
In response to increased demand, Masstech has taken significant steps to enhance its sales and support presence in key regions. During the past two years, Masstech has grown its support staff worldwide by 31 percent. A dedicated support team in Latin America now delivers outstanding support to the company's rapidly growing customer base in the region. Masstech has also begun major development of its operations in Europe, beginning with the addition of a new Managing Director to oversee the company's presence in Europe including dedicated sales, support and development teams.
