Univision Selects Broadpeak's Full CDN Solution for Video Delivery August 23, 2022 Partnering with Mongolia's Largest IPTV and Broadband Provider, Broadpeak to Build a Dynamic and Scalable System for Multiscreen IPTV/OTT Services

Singapore,- Aug. 23, 2022 - Broadpeak , a leading provider of content delivery network (CDN) and video streaming solutions for content providers and pay-TV operators worldwide, announced today that Univision, a subsidiary of telecommunications company Unitel Group and the first and largest IPTV, telephone and broadband provider in Mongolia, has deployed a full CDN solution from Broadpeak for hybrid IPTV and OTT video service delivery. Broadpeak's CDN, Origin and Analytics solutions will enable Univision to proactively monitor real-time metrics and content popularity, reduce network bandwidth and video delivery costs, and increase the efficiency of content throughput.

Over 90% of Mongolia's total of 3.2 million population relies on at least one of Unitel Group's telecommunication products and services. Univision has deployed Broadpeak's BkS350 origin packager, BkM100 video delivery mediator, BkS400 HTTP video cache servers, BkA100 video delivery analytics. Broadpeak provides Univision with a complete analytics solution that can track metrics both on the server side (through the CDN) and on the client side (through the media player and QoE), enabling the operator to perform capacity planning, troubleshooting, and video consumption analysis.

Broadpeak's Advanced CDN offers a hybrid IPTV and OTT solution and comes fully integrated with top-of-the-line TV platform and content protection from Viaccess Orca, including CMS, DRM, player and apps. The new system not only removes any security risks, but it also allows Univision to provide viewers with a high-quality, flexible, and scalable solution with on-premises infrastructure.
