Key Code Media along with Sony Professional, StorageDNA and Avid, are putting together an industry panel to discuss the future direction of post-production workflows and to look at which software/hardware tools and services will be vital for the growth of the post- production industry in the future.
The panel discussion, which takes place at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA, on 19 August at 17h30(Pacific), will also be available as a free, live webcast for those who aren t able to attend.
This event will aim to resolve current 4K/HDR challenges faced by both creative and technical decision makers in post-production, says Mike Cavanagh, president at Key Code Media.

Larry Jordan, moderator
Host, Digital Production Buzz
Larry Jordan, host of Digital Production Buzz, is a producer, director, editor, consultant and trainer for more than 40 years. He s worked at local TV stations, US network TV, and created numerous corporate videos and audio podcasts. Based in Los Angeles, Jordan is a member of both the Directors Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America, and has authored thousands of technical articles as well as eight books. He writes and publishes Larry Jordan s Free Weekly Adobe and Final Cut Newsletter.
Bryan McMahan, panelist
Senior Digital Colourist, Modern Video Film
Bryan McMahan is an experienced and accomplished digital colourist with nearly 100 feature films to his credit. His recent efforts include Knight of Cups and Weightless, both with director Terrence Malick and Academy Award-winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki. He has also worked with directors William Friedkin, Sam Mendes, Ridley Scott, John Woo and Walter Hill, and has been involved in numerous 4K re-mastering projects, including To Live and Die in LA, 48 Hours and The Boys in the Band.
Michael Cioni, panelist
Founder & CEO, Light Iron
Michael Cioni s passion for digital cinema has helped shape the landscape of the rapidly changing media ecosystem. As the CEO of Light Iron, he has supervised the digital intermediates and workflows on hundreds of feature films, including Gone Girl, Muppets Most Wanted, Ender s Game, 42, and The Social Network. As one of the industry leaders of mobile post-production, each year Cioni provides Light Iron s Outpost Systems to more than 100 television shows, broadband shows, features, and commercials.

At Dolby Laboratories, Robert Carroll is responsible for production and post- production solutions related to Dolby Vision. Prior to joining Dolby, Carroll was president of Cine-tal Systems. His involvement in cinema and television spans more than 36 years in engineering, marketing and executive positions.
