Gainbridge Fieldhouse has emerged as one of the nation's busiest arenas in recent years. From staging back-to-back NBA and WNBA All-Star Games (2024 and 2025), to hosting an NBA Finals run by the hometown Indiana Pacers, to drawing sellout crowds for the surging Indiana Fever - who punched their ticket to the WNBA Semifinals with an upset victory last night - the venue has become a true sports hub. Add in major spectacles like this weekend's WWE Wrestlepalooza, and Indianapolis' downtown centerpiece continues to cement its reputation as a premier stage for marquee events.
It's also home to a completely remodeled video and technology infrastructure built around SMPTE ST 2110. In this exclusive case study, Pacers Sports and Entertainment's Director of Broadcast Engineering Emily Wright and Broadcast Engineer Cameron Smolinske share how their team built the facility around IP and what the production standard of the future has enabled them to accomplish in just two seasons.
