
Conservatory and College Alumni Nominated for Tony Awards Four Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee alumni have been recognized for their contributions to this year's biggest Broadway productions.

Jennifer Simard (B.F.A. 92, musical theater) received her second Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical.

Four alumni from Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee have been nominated for 2022 Tony Awards in major categories, including Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical, Best Orchestrations, and Best Revival of a Musical.
Boston Conservatory at Berklee alum Jennifer Simard (B.F.A. 92, musical theater) received her second Tony nomination in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for her performance as Sarah in Company; she was nominated in the same category for her work in Disaster! in 2016.
Berklee College of Music alum Charlie Rosen '12 received his second Tony Award nomination for Best Orchestrations for his work on A Strange Loop. Rosen, a three-time Drama Desk Award nominee and recent Grammy Award winner for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella, won his first Tony in 2020 for his work co-orchestrating Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Rosen's Broadway credits include Be More Chill, Prince of Broadway, and American Psycho.
Brian Lee B.M. '14 and Dayna Lee B.M. '14 were nominated in the Best Revival of a Musical category for their roles as producers for Company. The married producers, who both majored in professional music at Berklee College of Music, previously won Tony Awards as producers of the 2018 Broadway revival of Angels in America and the 2020 Best Musical winner Moulin Rouge! The Musical.
Additional Berklee alumni are featured in several Tony-nominated productions this year. From the College: Elena Bonomo B.M. '14 is a drummer in the orchestra for Six, nominated for Best New Musical, and Rashidra Scott B.M. '04 is currently performing the role of Susan in Company, which is nominated for nine Tony Awards. From the Conservatory: Matt Wall (B.F.A. 95, musical theater) is also a part of the Company cast as an understudy; Brandi Porter (M.F.A. '15, musical theater) serves as an understudy for the role of Letitia in Clyde's, nominated for Best New Play; Alysha Umphress (B.F.A. '04, musical theater) portrays Susan Young in Mr. Saturday Night, nominated for Best New Musical; Renni Magee (17, musical theater) plays Swing in MJ: The Musical, nominated for Best Musical; and Eddie Korbich (B.F.A. '83, musical theater) portrays Jacey Squires in The Music Man, which is nominated for Best Revival of a Musical.
