Object Matrix becomes FKTG Company Member FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cardiff 28 August 2015: Object Matrix, the leading developer of object IT storage and archive systems to the broadcast and entertainment industry, have today announced they are joining up with the FKTG organisation to promote the technology of near-line storage within the German media arena.

The Television and Cinema Technical Society (FKTG) is one of the oldest media technology associations in Germany. It was the coming together of two predecessor organizations, the German Cinema Technology Society, founded in 1920 (DKG), and the TV Technology Society, founded in 1952, which then merged in 1972 to form FKTG. The main objective of FKTG is to bring together all those people interested and working in the broadcast and TV production industry as a platform for ideas and share experience. The aim is to explore technology areas such as those offered by Object Matrix that can genuinely provide benefit and cost efficiencies within media and video workflows.

Object Matrix has a similar interest in bringing together media workflow specialists by being one of the co-foundering partners of the Workflow Innovation Group (WIG) that holds regular discussion events across Europe. The next event will be in Germany with events planned for Munich, Cologne and Berlin in early October 2015. The CEO of FKTG, Mr J rgen Burghardt, will be the master-of-ceremony at the event. He will chair round table discussions on topical issues that are currently seen as hot technology topics within the broadcast and media industry.

We see FKTG as the most important technology and information network in the German speaking countries stated Mark Andrews, EMEA Manager at Object Matrix. As well as promoting our own technology, we have similar objectives in terms of networking, promoting ideas and collaboration amongst media workflow specialists. In a technology world that is constantly evolving, it good to network and we are pleased that we are working with J rgen to promote the WIG concept within Germany.

WIG will be running half day events on 5 October in Munich, 7 October in Cologne, and 9 October in Berlin. They will be free to attend and will be sponsored by leading technology partners within the media industry. It is not a trade show or a selling event, but a mini-exhibition will be available to browse for attendees between the sessions.
