Panasonic Announces a new range of professional PTZ cameras compatible with NDI With a support fully integrated with version 3 of NDI, and enhanced with a new high efficiency mode, new range helps users connect PTZ cameras from Panasonic Professional directly to a network NDI.

Panasonic It has announced the introduction of a full range of professional integrated cameras with support for Network Device Interface (NDI) built-in.

With a support fully integrated with version 3 of NDI, and enhanced with a new high efficiency mode, new range helps users connect PTZ cameras from Panasonic Professional directly to a network NDI.

With automatic detection by means of professional video switchers of Newtek and Newtek Tricaster IP series, new cameras are integrated seamlessly with hundreds of other products capable of NDI, to allow workflows from production of video without any additional configuration.

AW-HN38, AW-HN40, AW-UN70 and AW-HN130 new cameras join PTZ existing models leading the market from Panasonic and will be available in the colors black and white. AW-HN38 camera joins the range PTZ as a model of premium quality of high value thanks to its powerful capabilities, similar to the AW-HN/HE40 models, but with a zoom x 20, HDMI and native IP connectivity.

"N" cameras include a NDI mode in the menu of the camera that reconfigures the settings for the best performance and full compatibility with the network. This solution allows a workflow via a single cable, since both unifies the video, audio, PTZ control, tally and feeding of very low latency.

AV-HLC100 mixer

Among the hundreds of NDI-enabled devices mixer includes Panasonic AV-HLC100, presented by the company in the NAB 2017 and available in late autumn. Combining the PTZ cameras of Panasonic NDI-enabled with the AV-HLC100 switch will provide a unique workflow of next generation, which will offer complete integrated IP connectivity from the capture and live production to delivery to the end user and the transmission in flow.

For his part, Nela Pertl, Broadcast & ProAV Panasonic EMEA marketing manager, points out that "Panasonic has innovated with their cameras and remote production systems professionals from the first generation. This is a big step forward, which allows true remote production from virtually anywhere."

Customers who have bought or who will buy the standard versions of the model AW-HE40, AW UE70 AW-HE130 visit the web site of NewTek in the autumn of 2017 to update and enable NDI capabilities of these cameras.

The range of NDI-enabled cameras will be available from autumn (AW-NH40/AW-UN70) and winter (AW-HN130).
