GoPro Backstage at the Late Show with Stephen Colbert

On October 14, GoPro had the privilege of being invited to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for an appearance by GoPro founder and CEO Nick Woodman! We documented the event so that we could share the experience with YOU! Here's a sneak peek at what happened throughout the day

Above: We arrived on set around 11am to do a technical run through with the Colbert crew to test cameras and identify the best settings for integration with the live broadcast of the show.

Above: While everyone was hard at work we snuck into the rafter seats to snap this pic we were so thrilled to be in The Church of Colbert!

Above: With run throughs complete and a few hours to spare, we spent some time exploring the beauty of NYC. Pictured here is the iconic St. Patricks Cathedral on 5th Ave.

Above: We had to be back on set by 4:45 to get ready for the show, which starts taping at 5:30. On the way to Ed Sullivan Theater, Nick Woodman and wife Jill take a moment for a selfie in front of the Colbert marquee!

Above: As we were being escorted through the underbelly of the theater we spotted a run-of-show for the day and considered taking a quick seat... but we had to stay on the move!

Above: 30 minutes before taping, Stephen popped in for a quick introduction, hello, and photo opp!

Above: About 15 minutes before interview time, Nick makes a quick visit to hair & make-up time while running through prep with segment producer, Nicole Savini. The show taping is already underway and you could watch what was happening on TVs throughout backstage.

Above: FINALLY, It's show time! This is the view from the Friends & Family viewing area as Nick was brought on stage!

Thats a wrap! We took to the streets to celebrate a job well done and another HUGE first in the GoPro history books!
