2015 Loeries winners announced --

The 37th Annual Loerie Awards took place on 15 and 16 August 2015 at the Durban International Convention Centre. The event is an annual recognition of the best work produced in the brand communication industry in Africa and the Middle East.
This year, two Grand Prix prizes were awarded. The first went to KFC and Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg, for their SoundBite campaign in the Applications, Games & Interactive tools category; the second went to Loto Libanais and IMPACT BBDO Dubai for their Black Cats on Holiday campaign in the Branded Content Video category.
Overall 299 awards were presented in the main categories with 35 Gold Awards, 68 Silver Awards, 120 Bronze Awards, 18 Craft Gold Awards and 56 Craft Gold Certificates presented to this year s finalists.
In the TV & Cinema Commercials category, Gold Awards were presented to The King James Group for its One-of-a-kind Santam campaign; as well as BBDO Africa and Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO for their Made of Black Guinness campaign. Silver Awards in this category were awarded to Net#work BBDO for its Chicken Licken campaigns, The Great Dlamini and 15 Bucks ; The King James Group for its 5FM Without 5 campaign; and Ogilvy & Mather Cape Town for its Volkswagen Moments campaign. In the Internet Video category IMPACT BBDO Dubai was awarded a Gold Award for its Give Mom Back Her Name campaign for UN Women.
A number of Special Awards were also awarded on both evenings. On 15 August Gavin Krenski of Brandhouse received a Marketing Leadership & Innovation Award. Gold Unilever Ubuntu Awards for Sustainable Marketing were awarded to The Safety Lab and Y&R SA for their Hope Soap campaign; as well as UBCI GROUPE BNP PARIBAS and Havas Worldwide for their Recycle to Learn campaign.
On 16 August a Gold Effective Creativity Award was presented to Coca-Cola and FCB South Africa for their Coke Bobby campaign; as well as to Sawamninjah and Geometry Global for their Dubai Rescue Radio campaign, The Rescue Continues . AdReview editor Tony Koenderman was welcomed into the Loeries Hall of Fame and Melusi Mhlungu and Saf Sindhi were awarded the Gold Adams & Adams Young Creatives Award.
