Gale Technologies Supports NetApp Cloud Management Solution GaleForce Turnkey Cloud Solution Accelerates IT service Delivery Through Automated Provisioning of Service Templates
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - August 17, 2011 - Gale Technologies, a leading provider of infrastructure automation software solutions that power IT as a Service for labs, enterprises, and service providers, today announced its membership in the NetApp Alliance Partner Program as a Cloud Management Partner. Gale Technologies is collaborating with NetApp to integrate the GaleForce automation software with NetApps open-management APIs and to deliver the GaleForce Turnkey Cloud Solution for customers. With this partnership, customers will be able to implement private and hybrid cloud solutions in just two steps and as little as two weeks, to dramatically accelerate IT service delivery.
The GaleForce software is an advanced infrastructure provisioning and orchestration framework that provides template-based automated provisioning of bare metal, physical, and virtual resources, spanning across storage, networking, computing, and virtualization technologies. The GaleForce Turnkey Cloud Solution for NetApp is a solution bundle that includes the GaleForce software and new GaleForce resource adapters for the NetApp Data ONTAP and OnCommandTM software interfaces, and support for the NetApp Storage Service Catalog. With these GaleForce resource adapters for NetApp storage products, together with adapters for compute and network resources, and pre-built automation workflows, organizations gain newfound agility and simplicity that allows them to easily define service-level templates for storage services and publish them to the GaleForce self-service catalog. The GaleForce Turnkey Cloud for NetApp therefore provides a ready-made solution for three of NetApps main tenets of the path to a private cloud - Automation, Service Catalog, and Self-Service Enablement.
