Public Cloud and its impact on Digital Media: Conference delivered by Microsoft Azure and VSN at Tecnotelevisin & Radio

Both companies jointly submitted during the last Colombian show a presentation on the competitive advantages of collaborative work in Cloud and offered practical examples of how to facilitate and optimize media exchange in the cloud. VSN and Microsoft Azure and have a close relationship to allow Broadcasters and video companies to make an ease migration to cloud to optimize their processes. Roberto Duif highlighted during its conference how the Cloud con help companies maximize their assets value and optimize the exchanging of files.

Juan Pablo Garcia, Senior Cloud Architect of Azure, and Roberto Duif, Americas Sales Director of VSN, put light on the cloud within a conference at Tecnotelevisi n & Radio Exhibit in Bogot , Colombia. After more than 2 years in which Microsoft Azure and VSN have worked hand in hand, they have achieved a content management solution in the cloud which leads the whole industry.

The presentation began with Juan Pablo Garcia, who explained how the public cloud has revolutionized the way digital media companies design, build and deploy solutions for encoding and distribution of content, both locally and globally. In addition it was presented the case study of the successful transmission of content during the Olympic Games in Brazil, Rio 2016.

Subsequently, the conference continued with Roberto Duif, who offered practical examples of what was previously explained, and how companies currently work under this discipline. Also, Duif put in value the competitive advantage of having a content management system and workflows in the cloud, including the upscale assets' value of any TV channel or Media company, optimization of files exchange, high availability from anywhere, anytime through Internet, the advantages of customization and adaptation to customer needs and finally, reductions in time and cost that its implementation entails.

Lastly, Duif concluded by presenting the project developed by VSN for La Xarxa, which brings together and serves more than 50 television stations and 100 affiliated radios of the Spanish region, Catalonia.
