Double honors at the 2015 EISA Awards for Fujifilm with the FUJIFILM X-T10 and the FUJINON XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR lens 2015 awards for Best Consumer Compact System Camera and Best Compact System Zoom Lens
15.08.2015
FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Shigehiro Nakajima) is delighted to announce its two products, the FUJIFILM X-T10 digital camera and the FUJINON XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR lens, have been crowned at the recent 2015 EISA (the European Imaging and Sound Association) awards. Fujifilm X series cameras have consistently triumphed at the EISA awards for the last 4 years with the FUJIFILM X100 camera winning an award in 2011, FUJIFILM X-Pro1 in 2012, FUJIFILM X100S in 2013, and double honors in 2014 for the FUJIFILM X-T1 camera and FUJINON XF56mmF1.2 R lens.
1. EUROPEAN CONSUMER COMPACT SYSTEM CAMERA 2015-2016 - The FUJIFILM X-T10 Mirrorless Digital camera The Fujifilm X T10 includes the best bits of last years award winning X T1 in a smaller body and at a lower price. It has top plate drive mode, shutter speed and exposure compensation dials, and most lenses feature aperture rings. The 16 million pixel X Trans CMOS II sensor offers excellent image quality, with particularly attractive JPEG colour reproduction. A newly developed autofocus system is now capable of tracking moving subjects, wherever they are in the frame. This is all wrapped up in a compact, lightweight SLR style body with an excellent 2.36 million dot electronic viewfinder, built in flash, and Wi Fi for sharing images. Its a great, lighter weight alternative to a DSLR. Click here to learn more about the Fujifilm X-T10
2. EUROPEAN COMPACT SYSTEM ZOOM LENS 2015-2016 - The FUJINON XF16-55mm R LM WR X Mount Interchangeable Lens The XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR is a near-perfect general purpose lens, with image quality that can normally only be achieved by using primes. Its exceptionally sharp at all focal lengths and apertures, with extremely low distortion, chromatic aberration and vignetting. Autofocus is very fast, almost completely silent, and consistently accurate. The XF16-55mm is a large and heavy lens, with weather resistant build quality matching that of the solidly built Fujifilm X-T1. The only missing feature is the omission of optical stabilisation, but the exceptional image quality is a worthy trade-off. Click here to learn more about the Fujifilm Fujinon XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR
Fujifilm will continue to work on the development of excellent products and services that address user needs, thereby contributing to the further development of photographic culture. * EISA (the European Imaging and Sound Association) is the association of 50 special interest magazines from 20 European countries. In June each year, the editors-in-chief from all EISA member magazines meet to decide which of the products analysed in their publications during the past year deserve a coveted EISA Award. The six categories under consideration are: Audio, Home Theater, In-car Electronics, Mobile Electronics, Photography and Video.
