IDS extends its USB .0 camera portfolio with ree new families

IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH now offers three new USB 3.0 camera families in addition to its very successful USB 3 uEye CP series, which was first introduced to the market in 2011.

Whether it's the space-saving first, real single-board USB 3.0 industrial camera or the light yet also robust housed versions: The new families are a great choice for all those cost critical applications in automation, robotics, print and packaging industry, apparatus and medical engineering. Integration and camera handling is a breeze thanks to USB's Plug&Play and IDS' sophisticated and interface independent Software Suite.

The perfect and cost-effective volume camera: USB 3 uEye LE

The housed USB 3 uEye LE camera version! Focusing on essential features the camera is extremely cost-effective. The camera is not only extremely light with its plastic housing yet it's also robust enough for industrial environments. A great fit for a multitude of applications with its C/CS-Mount lens mount, which also allows for wide-angled lenses.

Revolutionizing the industrial camera market: USB 3 uEye LE boardlevel camera

The first real single-board USB 3.0 industrial camera! The USB 3 uEye LE boardlevel camera is easily integrated thanks to its tiny size and is hence the perfect component for embedded systems, medical engineering and instrumentation. The camera also offers exceptional connectivity with its 8 pin connector with 5 V power supply, trigger, flash, 2 GPIOs and I2C bus for triggering external devices. Benefit from cost-effective lenses with the boardlevel version with S-Mount lens mount.

The all-rounder for apparatus and mechanical engineering: USB 3 uEye ML

Light and also robust: weighing in at only 41 g with a size of 47x46x28 mm the USB 3 uEye ML is the perfect camera for all space critical applications. Yet the camera also offers all benefits one would expect from a proper industrial camera. The USB 3 uEye ML is suited or a wide range of applications thanks to two GPIOs, opto-decoupled trigger and flash. Its C/CS lens mount allows for a great selection of lenses, wide-angles lenses included. Camera integration is particularly easy based on Plug&Play and USBs one cable solution for data transfer and power supply.

Unique families - one common feature: Excellent image quality

All models are equipped with the latest and highly sensitive CMOS sensors from Aptina and e2v with resolutions from 1.3 to 5 Megapixel. In addition, IDS' special implemented sensor features guarantee extra functionality and highest detail accuracy for light and speed critical applications. e2v's 1.3 Megapixel sensor is also available in a NIR enhanced version.

Upgrading made easy!

IDS makes switching from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 technology a breeze thanks to the IDS Software Suite which works for all IDS cameras. In addition, the USB 3 uEye LE features the same footprint as the USB 2.0 model, hence upgrading to future-proof USB 3.0 technology is even easier!
