Martinus Olckers, better known as Matenas, caught Mzansi's attention with his superstar dance moves last month and has since bagged a few gigs with his friend and manager, Mandla Kayise.

The two Pretoria schoolboys, who are students at Suiderberg School, are gearing up to release their catchy house hit, Matenase Wadi Yobisi.

MATENAS' RISE TO FAM Local social media users praised Matenas for his killer dance moves when videos of him went viral in June. Speaking to TshisaLive, The 16-year-old explained that his friend Mandla asked to take videos of his dance moves.

That's how I got popular. It feels amazing. It feels like I'm dreaming as I get more popular, he added.

Since going viral, Matenas has scored more than 21 000 followers on Instagram and caught the attention of amapiano duo Mellow & Sleazy who asked him to join them at the Barcardi Fest in Ga-Rankuwa, Pretoria.

The single also features their friend Vusi MaR5, Jelly Babie and Enny Man Da Guitar.

Although Matenas and his 19-year-old manager are yet to announce a release date for the music video, they shared a snippet for their fans on social media.

SCHOOLBOY'S FATHER ON THE FAME? Matenas' father, Lucky Olckers, told TshisaLive that he is always in the dark about his son's music career.

If I saw something to my son he gets cross, saying: I'm going. I'm going. I don't want him to go, that's why I leave him, said Olckers.

I hope he will be successful. He will be better than me. I'm just a mampara. I'm a mechanic. So if he's going to get in a better field that's great.
